Observatory Rokycany and Pilsen – observatory Pilsen
The Plzeň Observatory is one of two departments of the Observatory in Rokycany and Plzeň, a contributory organization of the Plzeň Region. The main focus is the popularization of astronomy and related fields for schools and the general public. In doing so, it uses not only the premises of both observatories, but also a mobile planetarium, with which it can take astronomy almost everywhere. The observatory's staff (together with a group of amateur astronomers) focuses on the occultation of stars by solar system objects and meteors.
