Faculty of Architecture BUT
At the Faculty of Architecture at Brno University of Technology, you’ll find four interactive stations, two exhibitions, a lecture, and a video installation. We’ll present designs for the exhibitions System Mutations and Ethogram of Emotions for the Moravian Museum, as well as research on informal settlements in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Kathmandu (Nepal)—cities that are constantly changing. The “Frontier” exhibition will demonstrate how architects can help mitigate the effects of microgravity on the physical and mental health of astronauts and future inhabitants of space. The “Other Architectures” installation will then present research focused on neglected relationships in the architectural environment, informal structures, ambiguous spaces, and the ways in which architecture responds to change and crisis. There will also be quizzes for children.
