This year’s theme for Science Night is Communication. At the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU in Prague, we will demonstrate that buildings, structures, materials and even water speak to us through movement, vibrations, cracks, temperature, flow and data. You just need to know how to read their language.

What does a bridge tell us when it vibrates? How does the landscape react to torrential rain, and what can a stone reveal about its past – and how is civil engineering linked to a U-ramp?
