Cockroaches, caterpillars and grasshoppers are often seen simply as unwelcome pests. But few people realize that they, too, have their own enemies—organisms capable of profoundly influencing their lives. Join us on a journey into the fascinating microworld of parasites and discover remarkable creatures that live inside other organisms or can dramatically alter their hosts' behaviour. Meet live insects, learn about parasitic nematodes, horsehair worms that can manipulate the behaviour of their hosts, and microscopic protists hidden within insect bodies. Discover how these fascinating parasites shape the lives of insects, help regulate pest populations, and play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems. Come and explore a hidden world where even the smallest creatures play a vital role—and where even pests are never truly alone.
